My radical wabi sabi sculptures differ from my standard wabi sabi sculptures. The processes are the same but these sculptures transform more suddenly. Radical wabi-sabi forces the unconventional to achieve momentary transcendence, often in a heartbeat.   Everything is mutable. All is temporary. Nothing exists beyond the the moment of now. 

Some critics would say these are not true to the subtle and sublime aura of wabi sabi. I would agree, but it is the ephemerality in wabi sabi that captivates me. Radical wabi sabi takes the impermanence of the moment to the extreme, increasing the tension between viewer and reality.
